Make the pale text on your Shopify store easy to read.

Inkfix finds text and buttons that are too faint to read, changes as little colour as possible to fix them, and tests every change on your live pages before anything is published.

Free, and you don't need to give me any access for it. Prefer plain email? Write to pious@inkfix.app.

Drag across an example store. The menu, prices, sale badge and buttons get just dark enough to read; the layout, photos and headline stay the same.

What we measured on one real store

A small Shopify pottery store, five pages checked. Most of its faint text came from two accent colours that were just a little too light.

Measured on the store's live pages in our own browser. Nothing on the store was changed.

How it works

You stay in control at every step. Your live store doesn't change until you press publish yourself.

  1. Free preview

Send your store's address. I check five key pages, including your home page, a collection and a product, and email you the results and the price.

  2. You pick your colours

A short sheet shows your accent colours as swatches. For each, choose "keep exactly" or "a slightly deeper shade is fine".

  3. Fixes go on a copy

With collaborator access, I add the fixes to a duplicate, unpublished copy of your theme and test it there.

  4. You publish, I re-check

You publish when you're happy. I test your live store again afterwards, then my access is removed.

What Inkfix changes, and what it doesn't

Changes

  • Text and buttons whose colours are too faint to read easily
  • Links a screen reader announces with no name, such as icon-only social and cart links
  • All inside your own theme: one small CSS file and a few link labels

Doesn't change

  • Your layout, fonts, photos or wording
  • Any accent colour you ask to keep exactly
  • Problems automated testing can't find. It catches some accessibility problems, not all, so Inkfix is not a full accessibility audit and makes no legal claims about your store.

One price, paid once

Set by how many hard-to-read spots your free preview finds on the pages checked. You know the exact price before you agree to anything.

Questions

Will my brand colours change?

Only if you say a slightly deeper shade is fine. If you don't answer, they stay exactly as they are.

Do you install an app or a script?

No. The fixes are plain CSS and link labels inside your own theme, so nothing slows your store down, and nothing breaks if you stop working with Inkfix.

What if I don't like the result?

Nothing goes live until you publish the theme copy yourself. If you don't like it, delete the copy and your store stays as it was.

What access do you need?

None for the free preview. To install, collaborator access to your Shopify admin, which you can remove at any time. I only work on the unpublished copy of your theme.

I run an agency with several Shopify clients.

Email me. I'd like to work with agencies, and you already have your clients' trust and theme access.

About InkfixAudit, our page checker

If you've seen "InkfixAudit" in your server logs, that's our checker loading your pages. It only loads public pages, at most five per store, no more than one page per second. It respects robots.txt, never logs in and never fills in or submits a form. To have your site excluded, email pious@inkfix.app.
